| So I've lost the motivation to blog for a bit now, but frequent emails with xanga updates by various people have made me feel rather inadequate. So here's my thought for the day: ..While I appreciate that women have become more ball-sy over recent years, I'm not too stoked about the 'hard-women, soft-men' epidemic that seems to have hit (particularly) our generation pretty damn severely (Siow, 2008). Chivalry does not parallel a lack of firmness in conviction. However, pseudo-arrogance will do nothing for you either. Naturally, neither one gender is singly to 'blame'. It would be interesting to explore how this under and overestimation of one's worth came about. On a separate note: I hate the way I write/blog. Hahaha  It sounds so annoyingly pretentious but I've been blogging this way since I was an angsty adolescent and it seemed to have just stuck  Ma'af; paiseh ah   |
